Not long ago,
a “ski vacation” in the Rockies meant downhill skiing and nothing else. A vast array of exciting activities now share the
spirit of winter fun at Aspen: dog sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ballooning, paragliding, ice climbing,
and even fishing. Snowboarding continues to grow in popularity, especially on the 42 trails at nearby Buttermilk Mountain,
two miles west of Aspen. A trip to the Rockies is just not complete
without a stop in beautiful Aspen.
A trip to
Aspen Colorado
would be incomplete without visiting some of the
top attractions in
the area including: Queens Gulch, Taylor Pass
Road, Castle Creek Road,
Ashcroft Ghost Town, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies,
and Richmond Hill Road
.
These are some of the popular destinations in Aspen and
the most convenient way to get around would be with an
Aspen Car Rental.
More Aspen attractions that an
Aspen Car Rental would make easier to visit include: Buttermilk Mountain, Aspen Mountain,
Wheeler/Stallard Museum, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Art Museum, Wheeler Opera House, Snowmass
Golf Course, Crystal Palace Dinner Theatre, Cathedral Lake Trail, Grizzly Lake Trail, Crater Lake Trail,
Krabloonik, Aspen Club and Spa, and The Independence Ghost Town .
