World of Orchids
World of Orchids opened in 1993, by Kerry and Chris Richards
former Miami nursery owners active on the International Orchid Circuit. The
couple wanted to build a world class exhibit honoring the flower they both love,
and here they both succeeded. This 10-acre facility offers a rainforest
conservatory boasting huge, flowering plants, waterfalls and exotic birds and
fish. You will also enjoy a walk on the nature trail taking you around ponds and
through rainbow-hued orchid gardens. Before you leave, the Center offers an
extensive list of plant you can purchase this would make a great souvenir.
