Although favored by climate and geography, Miami remained a remote tropical village of frame houses until Henry Flagler
installed his East Coast Railway there in 1896 and turned his hand to community development. In fact, the fabulous city of
Miami Beach was created out of a mangrove swamp! Miami is filled
with fabulous things to see and do, the only problem you may run
into in vacation is finding enough time to do everything.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Vizcaya was once home to industrialist James Deering and the
estate was designed in a Renaissance inspired style, right down to the beautiful
gardens. After Deering's death in 1925, a hurricane destroyed much of the house

Today, Vizcaya is still standing and serves as a magnificent museum and tropical
garden that is opened to the public. When you are in the area, do your senses a
favor and pay Vizcaya a visit.
