Plaza de la
Constitucion or Zocalo
This is the heart of the city and the nations capital.
Located in el Centro Historico the Historic Center this very
popular plaza is the second largest public square in the world.
At the center of the plaza is a tall pole displaying a huge
national flag of Mexico. Being the heart of Mexico something is
always going on in the Plaza. From local dancers and culture
events, music concerts and political protests. Souvenirs are
sold here as well. The Plaza which is a Metro stop is surrounded
by several top attractions.

National
Palace/Palacio Nacional
The entire east side of the main square is home to the
National Palace. Is the official residence of the President and
other government offices. Built of reddish tezontle stone, as
visitors enter the building you can enjoy the beautiful murals
by Diego Rivera painted between 1929 and 1952. These colorful
murals show Mexican history dating from pre-Hispanic times to the
workers movement of the 1930s.

National Museum
of Anthropology
This National Museum of Anthropology is considered as being
one of the great museums of the world. Containing the worlds
largest collection of pre-Columbian artifacts and art. This
massive museum is arranged according to each pre-Columbian
cultures with entire halls and galleries dedicated to each
culture. The central courtyard is famous for its grand square
concrete umbrella.

Teotihuacan
Located about twenty five miles out of Mexico City this
pre-Aztec archaeological site is one of the largest
archaeological sites in the country at its cultural height was
the largest city in the world with population over 200,000. This
site contains two large pyramids- Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid
of the Moon and several smaller pyramids. Visitors can climb to
the top of the two large pyramids for a breathtaking view of the
entire site and the surrounding countryside and mountains.

Urbina Park
This popular Park is also known as the Sunken Park, what a
great way to relax from your busy day with a quiet stroll
through the shaded gardens, tall trees and beautiful flowers.
The Sunken Park is famous for its collection of over
fifty-one pre-Hispanic sculptures on permanent display.

Alameda Central
Enjoyed by the locals a typical Mexican Sunday in Alameda
Central Park will consist of live music, markets and food

and experience the charm, beauty of this lush green park
offering sparkling fountain, shady trees and interesting
sculptures. The Park also has a monument dedicated to Beethoven
