Nashville, Tennessee home of country music, the Grande Ole Opry, Lil Jimmy Dickens and Elvis.  A town that's' beauty runs deeper than the very roots of the huge hickory trees. In this town you can enjoy a genre of music preserved better than its very own berry jam that is served up daily at any one of the great southern restaurants that you can find.  Don't be surprised when you see a town that seems to have stood still in time, evident by the very buildings that seem to be a century old.  The only thing better than the old buildings is the great music that is still played town wide there.

When in Nashville, I experienced what its truly means to have southern hospitality.  The people of the city were as nice as could be and they treated you like family or a long lost friend.  They would open the door for you and greet you with a big smile.  I ate at some of the most delicious restaurants that I have ever been to while I was staying in the lively city.  I enjoyed mouthwatering country fried steak, hearty mashed potatoes, casseroles and biscuits on a daily basis.  It seems that food this good could never get old, however my waist begged to differ.

I visited in what was known as "awesome April", a time of year when country music bands swarmed the town and local bars in attempt to be heard and sign that million dollar contract they all dreamt about.  I rented a great car while I was in town and drove around aimlessly from bar to bar listening to some of the greatest music I have ever heard.  I was dazzled by some of the heavenly tunes I basked in, hoping that the performance would never end.  I know in my heart that Nashville, TN was the city for me from then on.

Shopping in Nashville is also a very unique thing, it seems every other shop is a cowboy hat store or a wrangler jeans factory.  That isn't necessarily a bad thing however, I did find a few cool belt buckles to invest in.  While here you will experience that the music of the area is highly influential in the fashions as well.  It seems everyone is dressing up to go to the local rodeo or something of the sort. 

While in Nashville, make sure to see "The Parthenon", a life size replica of the Athenian structure.  There is no mistake about it being one of the most breathtaking structures I have ever seen. You could get lost in there forever it seems.  You can feel the very awesomeness surrounding this structure the moment you set eyes on it.  Don't miss this awesome spectacle for only a 4$ entry fee.

Be sure to check out the Tennessee Titans while you are in town as well. You will surely be in awe when you see these colossal giants trot around the field slamming into one another like a car wreck, you just can't help but to look. This up and coming team replacing the once known "oilers" has been a crown favorite in this season defeating many tough opponents.  So be sure to keep you eyes on this team this year.
